What is NOR?

Natural Organic Reduction (NOR) is an alternative to cremation and conventional burial. Also known as human composting, NOR is a safe and natural process that gently transforms a body into nutrient-rich soil over 60 days.

Families may use the soil to plant a tree, a memorial or donate the soil to conservation projects.

Legislators have laid the groundwork for legalizing natural organic reduction in MN in 2024.
